What do you do?
I run two agencies – one is The Lightning Group (www.Lightning-Group.com), where I provide Virtual Chief Marketing Officer services to corporations, as well as CMO assist services, where the CMO in the organization can utilize a “fresh set of eyes”. The second agency is Ethnicity Multicultural Marketing + Advertising (www.EthnicityMatters.com). We assist corporations with reaching out to Canada’s multicultural mosaic.

What do you bring with you?
I have been active on numerous Jewish and other Boards throughout my career and, as such, I have a large network of contacts. I also have a particular expertise in understanding the consumer marketplace. My previous corporate role was as CMO for Cineplex – Canada’s largest movie theatre chain. I’m also very active in the start-up community – I am an angel investor in Sensibill, NXCAR, Dot.Health and LifeWire, as well as a member of the Schulich School of Business Global Management “Devil’s Advocate” team, and a regional judge for the $1 million HULT International Business School competition. I teach a course at Ryerson on How to Launch an e-Business, was the past Vice Chair of the Ontario Science Centre, and am currently serving on the Board of Governors of Exhibition Place.

Why Homrun?
I understand HomRun’s value proposition for Israeli companies. I understand the Canadian/North American marketplace and how to position products and services to companies.
