What do you do?
I am a partner in the international law firm of McDermott Will & Emery, specializing in the health care industry. I advise clients on issues concerning managed care and emerging health benefit plans, strategic restructurings and reorganizations, dispositions, mergers, joint ventures and contractual matters. The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education has recognized me as a Board Certified Health Law Attorney and have been recognized by Chamber & Partners as one of the leading health care transactional attorneys in the United States.
What do you bring with you?
The ability to get to “yes” by seeking out and developing practical and doable solutions in the context of getting deals consummated. A deep understanding, built on 35 years of experience, of the US health care system, which now represents nearly 20% of the country’s gross domestic product.
In 2017 I visited Israel for the first time (much to the joy of my wife who had visited several times and spent a year living there). On a number of levels that visit was a personal epiphany regarding the continuing existence of the State of Israel and the relevance of American Jewry. I have always been a believer in and supporter of the networking concept particularly the axiom it is not who you know, it is who the people you know know. During that trip I met Daniel and when I heard him speak of the power of the network in helping Israeli companies, I knew Homrun was an organization I needed to support.
